Winona Ryder And Mickey Rourke Become The Informers

The cast of “The Informers” is gradually turning out to be a ‘who’s who of Hollywood’ list. The two latest arrivals to the Bret Easton Ellis novel are Winona Ryder and Mickey Rourke.

They join Billy Bob Thornton, Kim Basinger, Brandon Routh, Ashley Olsen, Jon Foster, Lou Taylor Pucci and Austin Nichols in the drama which is to be directed by Gregor Jordan.

The film is set in the 1980’s and follows a week in the life of a group of morally challenged characters which include a movie executive, his wife, his mistress, a rock star, a vampire and a kidnapper.

Ryder is set to play a newscaster who has just been dumped after a long affair with a married producer. Rourke will be playing an immoral formal security guard who plots to kidnap a small child to sell to the leader of a Los Angeles cult.

Shooting on the Senator Entertainment production begins in Los Angeles in October.
