Nintendo Wii, Xbox 360 or Sony PS3
I have got all three of these games consoles (Nintendo Wii, Xbox 360 or Sony PS3) sitting under the TV in my living room, and I thought today “I wonder which console will last the longest?”.

I am not talking the life before it dies, but more so on which will stay popular for the longest out of the Nintendo Wii, Xbox 360 or Sony PS3.

So this is the question I put to you, which do you think it will be and lets not talk about the games console you have but rather which you really think will still be the most popular in 2, 3, 4 or 5 years.

My opinion is the Nintendo Wii and the reason for this is because they have not gone the graphics route (which is changing yearly in a massive way, just look at PC’s), the Wii is very popular on gameplay alone.

I am probably wrong, but it’s my guess…what’s yours?

most likely the ps3 will last the longest just on the fact that it is more than a game console. you can surf the web watch a blue ray movie or listen to music. the vesatility of the ps3 makes it the better choice.

I have one comment for the guy 2 posts up you’re such a chump… All you’re listing is gun games and simply put the wii is better at that (control wise).
The PS3 has the greatest potential and will outlast the 360.
Those who think the 360 is a bargain are ignoramuses
360:200$+Wireless:100$+Harddrive:50$+HDDVD(lost the new media war):150$+Internet:60$/year and less brute power than the PS3’s all inclusive 80Gb for 400$

The wii is most versatile and every title I put in the Wii surprises me. The gaming is much more entertaining, stimulating and brings forth something new to the table EACH time.

Nintendo is the innovator in this industry.
SNES was the leader in 16-bit
N64 brought us great 3D and THE THUMBStICK
gamecube was just a stepping stone
while the WII is the ultimate for gamers, it has titles with which other platforms don’t stand a chance and they’re constantly innovating.
Wii is the most profitable and is shortly coming up with a new sensor system which will improve gameplay further.
From the profits Wii is likely to be the first to innovate further into what some would call a Wii2

The PS3 will last longest but Nintendo will stay ahead.
When graphics become an inevitable NEED Nintendo will bring it to us.
    You can’t mess with Nintendo:
Their Wii sells more than both others and their financial statements give them a lead on the others… more money for R&D

The Wii is light years ahead of the XBOX 360 and PS3 as far as hardware stability is concerned. There are currently no console-bricking software updates and RRoDs to deal with. Hear that, Sony and Microsoft? Nintendo consoles are built to last and the games are enough to win over general gamers. You don’t have to be a hardcore gamer to have fun, but even the Wii has third-party games (such as Resident Evil 4 and Mortal Kombat Armageddon) that satisfy hardcore gamers. As long as the Wii continues to support groundbreaking party games like Guitar Hero, it will outlast the others.
