Mother Flies To Thai Crash Burns Victim Bethan Jones

The mother of Bethan Jones who was left fighting for her life after a budget flight crashed at a Thai resort is flying out to be with her.
Bethan Jones who is 22 and from Porth, south Wales still remains unconscious and in a critical condition at a hospital with 50% burns.
Bethan was with her boyfriend Alex Collins also 22 from Maesteg, south Wales when the accident happened and he is still missing and feared dead by his family.
The One-Two-Go flight from Bangkok skidded, crashed and burst into flames after trying to land in pouring rain at the Thai resort of Phuket on Sunday.
A total of 89 passengers died in the crash, and 33 bodies recovered from the wreckage remain unidentified, many badly burned.
Family members of both Bethan’s and Alex family including Miss Jones’ father Steven, 53, and brother Dewi, 24, have since flown out to Thailand.
Here is a statement that has been issued on behalf of Bethan’s family from the South Wales Police it said:
“Bethan remains in intensive care in hospital in Bangkok. Her mother Jean Jones and uncle Tony Jones are flying out to be with Bethan and join Bethan’s father Stephen and brother Dewi there.”
We are all hoping that Bethan makes a full recovery soon.
