Jan De Bont’s Stopping Power Is Back In Production

A few weeks ago, we reported that Jan De Bont’s thriller Stopping Power’s production had been shut down as the $40 million project couldn’t find backing and was forced to put off filming. Fortunately, R Media Acquisitions LLC has stumped up the cash so the green light is back on.

The movie follows the story of a man (John Cusack) who is desperately trying to rescue his daughter who was in an RV when it was stolen by a criminal (Jason Isaacs). Isaacs then forces Cusack to help him escape, by acting as a decoy. Melissa George will play Cusack’s girlfriend.
