Tech Crunch is reporting that the lady best known as the original host of Rocketboom (Amanda Congdon), has been let go by ABC News.

Amanda Congdon has had a good year at ABC News with projects such as “Amanda Across America” where she had a video blog while traveling across America.

The experiment that ABC News undertook with Amanda leads many to believe that going from online celebrity to mainstream media is something that might not be that successful.
