Sony has said today that it will postpone the launch of the PS3 “Home” until next year.
This means PlayStation 3 owners will have to wait much longer that first thought for the PS3 Home virtual online community.
The delay is yet another setback to Sony in their games console war with Nintendo and Microsoft and the three gaming giants battle it out to try and get their games consoles, the Nintendo Wii, Microsoft Xbox 360 and Sony PlayStation 3, into number one position.
Sony have said this delay is so they can improve the quality of the service
“This is going to be a worldwide service that needs to offer a wide range of functions required in Japan, in the U.S., in Europe and in Asia,” said the Sony CEO in Tokyo, “We aim to launch this as something that can meet expectations of people all over the world.”
What do you think about this delay?
Do you prefer the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 or Nintendo Wii?
