Playboy Store Brings Sexy Back To Britain’s High Streets

Following in the foxy footprints of Ann Summers and Hustler Hollywood, Playboy is bringing sexy back to the high street. Playboy has established a reputation over the years, thanks to it’s racy magazine, which features nude pictures of celebrities. Those who have graced the pages of Playboy have included 60s sex symbol Ursula Andress, Pamela Anderson and Rachel Hunter.

Since it’s magazine days, Playboy has branched out into fashion collections for both men and woman, jewellery, accessories, shoes and swimwear. It’s logo, the infamous bunny in a bow tie has now taken centre stage in the three storey shop on Oxford Street in the heart of London.

Playboy aren’t the only US retailers to move to London’s fashion market. Abercrombie & Fitch also moved to London hoping to cash in on both locals and wealthy Europeans.

Lisa Hagendorf, spokeswoman for playboy has spoke about their move to London saying, “Confidence is very, very high, I think the brand is going to do phenomenally well here. There is a real understanding of the heritage.”

Playboy returns to London for the first time in more than a quarter of a century after the closure of its club on Park Lane in 1981.

The Playboy Franchise was founded by Hugh Hefner, ‘an icon of the sexual revolution’ who remains editor-in-chief of the magazine and lives up to his playboy status with his three busty, blonde girlfriends who all live in his Playboy Mansion in LA.

The new boutique in London will enable shoppers to cast their eye over some of the most popular and risqué images from throughout the years.
If you’re feeling particularly flush, you can get your paws on a limited edition box set which holds all of the pictures for £32,000.

Now, considering you also get two invitations to join Hefner and his Playboy Playmates at an exclusive party, the price doesn’t seem that bad does it!
