Ken Osmond, the man who rose to fame with the phrase “Gee, Mrs. Cleaver, you’re looking lovely today” as Eddie Haskell on ‘Leave it to Beaver has found himself with legal matters on his mind today, as he is suing the Screen Actors Guild.
Ken Osmond is accusing the union on an estimated $8 million it collected from foreign royalties which should have been shared equally among actors. He has claimed that since at least 1996, SAG has collected royalties for use of television and movie productions outside the U.S in the form of levies for video rentals, private copying and cable transmissions.
Osmond believes that very little of the royalties have been given to the actors, which includes himself. The SAG has yet to comment.
