It’s Official Kanye West Beat 50 Cent In Their Sales Battle

Its official we can now report that Kanye West has beat 50 Cent in their sales battle.

Kanye’s ”Graduation” album outsold 50 Cent’s ”Curtis” in first week sales, according to Nielsen SoundScan: 957,000 copies to 691,000 copies.

Kanye attended the GQ’s 50th anniversary party as a featured performer. Kanye got up on stage and shouted ”To be a champion, you’ve got to take out a champion.”

Kanye said that he thinks it was the quality of his music that gave him the upper hand he said that ”I think my music is really inspirational and I really made it for the people. I really understood that in this Internet age people are their own superstars … the best bet that we had was to make a soundtrack to their own lives.”

At the end of the day though, we all know that they used this so called “battle” as a marketing tool to help sell both their albums and it definitely helped. I feel used and abused.
