Apple have official announced that the iPhone will be available in the UK on the 9th November exclusively for O2, the 8GB phone is to cost £269. If customers want to get their hands on the new iPhone they will have to sign an 18 month contract with O2, and will have to chose from three different O2 tariffs these are £35, £45 or £55.
As you can see the Apple iPhone is more expensive in the UK, but as you know that is because rip off Britain has to pay more VAT than the US. Steve Jobs from Apple has not said how long the contract with O2 is for, but one thing is certain, more people will switch to the O2 network just to get their hands on the iPhone.
