Michael Bay, the man behind Transformers, has said that he will more than likely leave preproduction on a Transformers sequel in order to be able to work on another film before the great Hollywood Strike of 2008.
Talking about the movie, Michael Bay told reporters,
“‘Transformers 2′, well that’s another story. Itching [sic] to work pre-strike (June) so I might jump ship and come back a year or so later cause people at the studio have been dragging for two months. Not sure why. I’ll keep you informed.”
It was rumoured that Bay was attached to direct the Disney adaptation of Prince Of Persia so could this be the project he’s jumping the Transformers ship for? Or could it be 2012: The War for Souls, which was listed on the pre-strike memo.
Bay’s Transformers has just had it’s final IMAX cut. So what did Michael think?
“But I just saw the first IMAX print of ‘Transformers’. Not depressing - freakin AWESOME! They need to bottle the magic of IMAX because it’s the future of cinema. It comes out next Friday the 21st. I added some extra scenes.”
Will you pay to watch Transformers again on IMAX?
