Yahoo to test Mash an experimental social network service: replacement for Yahoo 360
By: Peter Chubb | September 17, 2007
Search Engine giant Yahoo is testing Mash, which is an experimental social network service, where friends and family can share their lives with each other. As Mash is in its experimental stage, Yahoo invited a limited number of the public to try and test this new service, which they hope will replace the old looking Yahoo 360.
When you think Yahoo was one of the first companies to embrace the whole idea of sharing media with friends, but it has since struggled to keep up with some of the biggest social network sites that have appeared since. Yahoo is hoping that Mash will be able to compete with the likes of Bebo, Facebook, Google’s Orkut and News Corp’s MySpace.
