We all know and sadly regret that Colin McRae the 39 year old British rally driving star died, for many people across the world he was a legend and a great driver and individual. His name was all over the gaming industry with all the success rally driving games and what could be a problem in many people’s eyes is the question of “Will the gaming franchise continue?
If the gaming franchise does in fact continue who will inherit it and will the games still have Colin McRae’s name on the games which I do hope it does, the games will not be the same without his name on it.
There was the much awaited game for the Sony PS3 which is indeed the first Colin McRae game for the Playstation 3, the game which is already out on the Microsoft Xbox 360 and PC is called Colin McRae: Dirt, the PS3 version will be released in just over a week and is his 6th game. All Colin McRae games sold over a staggering 8 million copies and as far as I know there was not a bad one of these games so no disappointments.
Let us all hope that this is not the end of the gaming franchise because his name is well respected and it should carry on being respected everywhere especially for us gamers.
I would love to know 2 things – “will the Colin McRae gaming franchise continue and what is your favourite Colin McRae game?

Deepest Sympathy to his family and friends.
I am deeply sorry about this post and it is not intended to be of such gloomy news, it is merely asking will the games continue because we want his name to carry on. The games were fantastic and i on a personal note really do love colin and what he has done for us as a driver, a person and his name in the gaming world.
Please do accept my apologies.
Ant you idiot, he asked if the gaming franchise will continue, learn to read. If you want to play savoir go to Iraq.
To be honest I don’t think the franchise will continue, perhaps one more instalment but without McRae’s input then I don’t see it happening.
Should it continue? I guess those involved the closest will know.
the rallying world will never be the same i have watched every rally
my deepest reguards go to the poor family of colin ,
and i share the same line of thaught as ant, the last game that colins name is printed on is to be a dedication to the hero
thanks, jezza
Mark. My comment was overly harsh. Please also accept my apologies.

I still cant believe its happened, colin truely was and still is my idol.a total legend to the motorsport world. we will never see commitment, passion and talent like it again.
I hope the mcrae name stays with the gaming franchise, it would be a shame for his name to fade away,he WAS rallying for so many of us.
