Madeleine McCann’s Parents pick former BBC correspondent Clarence Mitchell as Spokesman

September 17, 2007 | Filed under News

Kate and Gerry McCann
The parents of Madeleine McCann have now elected a new spokesperson; the job will be filled by former BBC correspondent Clarence Mitchell.

The former spokesperson was Justine McGuiness (a Liberal Democrat parliamentary candidate); last week McGuiness left the role.

Clarence Mitchell is expected to start work tomorrow; this new appointment has come during a changing time for the McCann’s with a cop quitting the case in disgust at the way parents have been treated and with preparations in their legal case as they are now official suspects.
