M4 Motorway Crash in South Wales: Five dead
By: Peter Chubb | September 17, 2007 | 2 Comments
A spokesman for the Welsh Ambulance Service said that three men in one car were pronounced dead at the scene, also a couple who was in the other car was also pronounced dead. One of the passengers who survived the crash was an 18-year-old man; he was taken to the Royal Gwent Hospital in Newport where he suffered multiple fractures of his limbs.
As a result of the crash, that part of the M4 was closed in both directions so that investigators could carry out inquiries at the scene. This caused huge tailbacks, which was not good as commuters were trying to get to work. Gwent Police has said that they are making every effort to open that part of the M4 as soon as possible.
