Liverpool Victoria has stated that when purchasing products the consumer should check the value does not exceed the limit of their policy. LV has also warned about leaving old items outside their properties for collection which would advertise the new items to thieves.
A spokesperson from LV said “We are just warning people to be aware, especially at Christmas and during the New Year sales, when people tend to make these purchases”.
Halifax has also warned about theft of items from gardens. Objects can often be left within the reach of thieves.
