Thai Airline Crashes In Phuket: Kills 88 People, Mainly Holidaymakers

A budget airline flying over Phuket, Thailand has crashed leaving 88 people dead.
The aeroplane burst into flames as it tried to land in heavy rain an official said.
According to the local hospital, 5 of the survivors are in serious condition.
A Thai who survived the crash with his wife, Nong Khaonual, said: “The airplane was landing in heavy rain. It landed too fast. I have never seen anything like this. It descended very fast,”
“Just before we touched the runway we felt the plane try to lift up, and it skidded off the runway. My wife was half conscious and I dragged her out of the emergency exit. There was a man behind us and he was on fire.”
A total of 8 Britons, 8 Thais, 5 Germans and 2Australians were among known survivors according to the hospital.
