Some Quick Views On Halo 3 (Xbox 360)

So we all know that Halo 3 is imminent, and its hype is at its peak; and obviously there’s bound to be a lot of opinions on the topic. Let’s see what we’ve found.
I personally can’t care less about Halo 3. I mean, the first game was good and it really sold the Xbox Console, the second just felt really shallow and the only appetising thing was the multi-player; fair enough. Halo 3 appears just to promise the same thing again; the story will be generic, the game-play will be generic and shallow as always, and frankly from what I’ve played of the multi-player, it’s just Halo 3; but it looks a bit shinier.
Well that’s just my opinion, now let’s look at some others;
David Jaffe and Adam Orth who worked on Full Metal lack and Calling all Cars had this nice little conversation on IM where Orth clearly said “F*** Halo”. Quite a clear opinion right. You can read the full conversation here.
Marissa Chabon from Cinemablend.com says “No one actually hates Halo; you can’t hate Halo and call yourself a gamer… But what else will they give us other than shooting and running and throwing grenades?
And to be quite frank, she’s right. Halo 3 can’t offer us anything else other than what she’s just mentioned.

yes all it is is running shooting and throwing grenades, but it is FUN and ENTERTAINING. just like football is just running and kicking a ball (in the uk at least) but its what you do and how you do it, and that is the beauty of halo x
yay. thanks to the internet forum world, us fanboys can get together and pour out our hearts, without fear of the usual beatings we would recieve for mentioning these subjects in real life.
anyone who complains about the ‘hype’ machine doesnt understand marketing. i hate microsoft and think they are evil, but the only people who feel they are being bombarded with the halo hype are the losers (like me) who go on google and search for halo news every day. other than that, just dont drink that funny green coloured drink and you’ll probably miss it.

Halo 3 appears just to promise the same thing again; the story will be generic, the game-play will be generic and shallow as always, and frankly from what I’ve played of the multi-player, it’s just Halo 3; but it looks a bit shinier.” THat just makies you look so stupid because first of all there is a robust saved films feature that lets you upload to Bungie.net and a map editor that you can use while a game is going… This article is so biased considering that all you played was the multiplayer (Beta) which is a joke compared to a full game.. and 3rd you havent even played the 3rd game which makes you look like a self assuming jerk.
All roads lead us to the Halo 3 release..Its so much more than just a game. Its been a long road and we have put up with the Sony fanboy gauntlet every step of the way. We are on the cusp of putting down our arch rival. I think the suns gonna shine a little brighter, foods gonna taste a little better when Sony has been cemented into 3rd (last) place. We just have to Believe brothers

Halo 1, revolutionary for its time, fantastic multiplayer, good story. Halo 1 sold the xbox.
Halo 2, good story, but horrible ending. Solid online multiplayer for consoles and make Xbox Live viable. Sure it left a lot to be desired, but it was still good.
Halo 3? The FPS to define the 360. You’ve got forge (a combo map editor and multiplayer feature), 4 player co-op (what now, Gears of War?), co-op scoring, saved films (to watch your greatest moments and others greatest moments), screenshots from saved films (you can even upload them to your computer), not to mention an amazing party system and online stats tracking. No other game out there now has what Halo 3 has going. Other games may do certain FPS elements better than Halo 3, but no game does everything well, which is exactly what halo does.
You know what, “…shooting and running and throwing grenades…” sums up so many FPSs, Halo does it better than most with enough weapon variation, vehicle use, equipment use, support weapons (turrets, etc in halo 3) to make every encounter different and interesting.
All I ask is that if your going to use opinion, do so by providing counter opinions. If you use facts, then stick to them. Your biased articles make this site soon to be worthless.

Seriously, how can you call Halo 3 generic when it promises to be the most feature rich FPS on the market? It offers forge (a map editor cross multiplayer), saved films (to watch great gameplay moments), the best online party system, 4 player online co-op (what now, GoW), co-op scoring, and other features I haven’t time enough to list here. Seriously, wtf is your problem…
