Indonesia Earthquake Death Toll Rises: 17 Dead, 88 Injured
By: Daniel Chubb | September 15, 2007 | 1 CommentThe death toll resulting from a severe earthquake in Indonesia last week is rising, with the total now standing at 17 dead and 88 injured.
In addition to this, over 800 homes have been totally destroyed by the 8.4 earthquake and the 40 large aftershocks following the initial quake.
After the Indonesian earthquake, there were a large number of Tsunami warnings that were withdrawn later on.
Many people in Indonesia are sleeping out in the open, on the street either because their home have been destroyed or they may be too scared to return home due to the threat of further earthquakes.
