Portable navigation devices could really soar this coming holiday shopping season as the leading companies in the market, such as Garmin and TomTom, race each other for control of this new emerging market.
Garmin, TomTom and other companies are expected to cut prices in an attempt to lure more potential customer into the market and to convince them to purchase their products.
It may even turn into a price war if Garmin and TomTom really go all out for dominant market share in the portable navigation device industry,
“Portable navigation devices are becoming a ‘must have’ device for a growing percentage of the population,” JMP Securities analyst Ingrid Ebeling said.
Do you have a portable navigation device?
Which do you prefer, TomTom or Garmin?
If you haven’t already got one of these gadgets, then at what price would you consider making a purchase?
