Plane Similar Steve Fossett has been seen according to witnesses

The plane that Aviator Steve Fossett was flying has been seen according to witness reports; a Blackhawk helicopter was dispatched to the area where witnesses say that they saw the plane. The area was in the Pinenut Mountains which is in western Nevada.

Search planes have flown over the area many times, and once a second sighting of the plane was reported that was when the ground crew was dispatched to the area. Other planes have been found but not the plane that Fossett was flying.
