News Corp says relations are prickly with Apple Due to iTunes Dispute
By: Daniel Chubb | September 14, 2007 | Leave a CommentThe CEO and President of the media giant News Corp has said that relations with Apple are “prickly” due to a dispute over Apple showing News Corp TV shows on iTunes.
The News Corp CEO said: “We have a pretty limited relationship with Apple and we’ll see how it goes,”
“I assume it will be prickly and dicey and contentious like all negotiations are and like all negotiations should be.”
At the moment Apple has the rights to sell News Corp TV shows over iTunes but not movies. However there are also pricing disputes, which caused NBC Univeral to stop doing business with iTunes (See previous post on this).
Do you think News Corp should allow movies to be available via iTunes?
