The family of charity campaigner Jane Tomlinson have said they hope her funeral today will be a celebration of her life.
Jane’s husband Mike told Sky News that “Jane chose a big part of the content from our marriage ceremony, which for me is extremely touching.”
Jane’s funeral will take place at Leeds Cathedral, where hundreds of invited guests are expected to fill the church.
Members of the public will also be able to watch the service as it will be broadcasted live on a big screen in Millennium Square.
The Bishop of Leeds, the Rt Reverend Arthur Roche, will lead the funeral. All of the hymns and readings have been picked by Mrs Tomlinson.
After the service, the congregation will listen to one of her favourite song, How Can I Tell You by Cat Stevens. Her funeral will be followed by a private cremation.
