Update: Tropical storm Humberto reaches hurricane strength as it heads for Texas

Tropical storm Humberto which we reported on yesterday has now gained Hurricane strength as it heads towards Texas. The U.S. National Hurricane Center has reported that Humberto now has sustained winds of 80mph; the data was gathered by the Doppler radar and a reconnaissance aircraft.

Humberto formed yesterday over the Gulf of Mexico and has been keeping the people of Texas nervous, as they waited to see if Humberto will gain strength.
