Spy shot of the next generation 2009 Toyota Prius Hybrid
The next generation Toyota Prius Hybrid was originally due for release in 2008, well it will not be out to sometime in 2009 so to keep you lot happy we have a spy shot if this environmental friendly car. The reason for the delay is due to a battery development problem.

It is thought that Toyota wanted to use the new lithium ion batteries, but they had to revert back to the nickel metal hydride batteries that are used on the current Prius model. If you closely at this spy shot you can see that the new Prius has some design features from other Toyota models, like the Yaris and the Camry.
