Gordon Ramsey’s Brother Jailed For Possesion Of Heroin

Gordon Ramsay is one of the UK’s best loved chefs. Not everybody knew Gordon had a younger brother. Until now that is. Gordon’s brother, Ronald Ramsay has been jailed for 10 months for heroin possession in Indonesia.

A judge on Bali island said Ronald Ramsay was also given a £260 fine. Gordon Ramsey has yet to make a statement.

Ramsey was arrested in February with 100mg of heroin in his pocket during a search outside a supermarket. It is not yet known if the defendant will appeal.
Indonesia has extreme drug laws, meaning Ronald could face up to 10 years in jail, but the panel of three judges were lenient after he pleaded guilty and expressed sincere remorse.

Ramsey’s lawyer, Erwin Siregar has told reporters he felt the sentence was too harsh as the heroin was for personal use, not distribution. Ronald has tackled with drug addiction for years.
