George Bush Finally Endorses Limited Troop Cuts in Iraq

President of the States George W. Bush is expected to endorse plans for limited cuts in U.S. troop levels in Iraq which is what a lot of us have been saying was inevitable. However, this change will offer little else to war-skeptical Americans looking for a change of course in the very unpopular war, perhaps offered by Ron Paul, Clinton and even Obama.
Mr Bush is expected to take on David Petraeus‘ words to gradually withdraw a substantial 30,000 of the 169,000 troops in Iraq by the summer of 2008.
The Pentagon confirmed Bush would work in terms of five of the brigades and not as a total number of troops.
“It’s premature to put a figure at least in terms of the number of individual troops coming out,” said Pentagon press secretary Morrell.
“That is because there are support troops … the general has not yet decided how many of those he will still need as he takes out those five combat brigades.”
