Well we might as well forget about calling the BMW X6 a concept, the SUV was finally revealed at the Frankfurt Motor Show 2007. People at the show have stopped calling the X6 a concept as the design is almost close to going into production.

BMW are calling the new X6 a SAC which stands for Sports Activity Coupe, most rooflines in vehicles start to drop towards the rear but with the BMW X6 the roof starts to slope just where the steering wheel is. As you would expect the X6 keeps all the features that we have come to expect from BMW, like the double kidney grilles and the double headlamps with the corona rings.

The BMW X6 like many new BMW’s has some great new technology on board like the Dynamic Performance Control, this works in conjunction with the xDrive four-wheel drive system. This is an advanced DSC stability control, instead of cutting engine power or even slowing the car down by breaking, the X6 actually helps to maintain control in oversteer and understeer. This is achieved by varying power between each of the rear wheels.

Although the BMW X6 is a nice vehicle, I just cannot see what purpose the vehicle will achieve. If you want a SUV then get a full size one, if you want a sedan or saloon BMW then get one of the other models, but why would someone what something in between.
