U.S. and Chinese officials take steps to offer lead free toys after recalls
Officials in the U.S. and China have both agreed to take immediate steps to stop using lead paint in toys; this has come to light after a range of toys made in China had been recalled as they contained lead paint. Thousands of parents in America were left in a panic as they heard that many toys from Mattel, the world’s largest toy maker had traces of lead paint on them.

Nancy Nord, who is the acting chairman of the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, has said that her two days of meetings with her Chinese counterpart shows that China are very serious about getting rid of this problem and to make sure that no other hazardous products will make it to the market again.
