Tsunami warning issued after Indonesia earthquake with 7.9 magnitude

It has been reported that a small tsunami hit the Indonesian town of Padang; this then caused the Pacific Tsunami Warning Centre to issue a tsunami warning for the much wider area of that region.
Although the Indonesia earthquake has been reported to of just caused buildings to sway in the capital of Jakarta, the size of this earthquake can cause a widespread destructive tsunami that could affect coastlines across the entire Indian Ocean Basin.
The world has never been the same since the earthquake that caused a massive tsunami off the coast of Sumatra on Boxing Day 2004, that disaster killed 131,000 people.
I feel now days the world is more careful when it comes to the potential of some quakes.
