The Fight Club Boys Are Back!

The boys are back in town! Hollywood have decided to base a film on the British TV drama, State of Play. Not only that, they’ve hired The Last King of Scotland’s director Kevin Macdonald with the added bonus of the two most gorgeous fight club members Brad Pitt and Edward Norton!

It’s been a while since Brad Pitt and Edward Norton have graced our screens together and now they’re reuniting, we can’t wait! Edward Norton will play the role of a politician (only it will be a Congressman rather than an MP) whose rapid career rise faces being halted when his mistress is found dead. Brad Pitt will play the journalist and former colleague who investigates the death, threatening the pairs friendship. The friendship is pushed further when Brad’s character gets involved with Norton’s character’s estranged wife.

Although the cast will be extremely better looking than those from the British TV series, the actors are smart enough to play such a complex role without it having to be dumbed down. The original series was written by Paul Abbot, with Matthew Michael Carnahan (The Kingdom) being the credited screenwriter.

It’s reported that production will start in November, with Edward Norton starting as soon as he finishes working on The Incredible Hulk.
