Southland Tales Theatrical Poster Released

The new theatrical poster for Richard Kelly’s Southland Tales has been posted online by Cinematical. I have to be brutally honest, the poster looks awful. It’s kind of an amalgamation of three different styles of movie poster, as if they couldn’t decide which one to go with. It tells you nothing about what the film is about and seems to show the A-List stars in order to reel in the audience.

Richard Kelly, the brains behind Donnie Darko (which failed at the box office only to become a cult hit), really deserves this film to be good, it’s clear he has worked hard on it. It’s just the movie poster letting him down - I hope. Check out the new poster below and let me know your thoughts.
