Sony to launch four new Blu-ray recorders bringing the fight to HD DVD

These four new models will be capable of recording up to 16 hours of programes on one dual-layer Blu-ray disc with a capacity of 50GB. This is the first time that Sony Blu-ray recorders have been able to use dual-layer discs.
Out of the four new recorders there is a high-end model that comes with a 500GB hard drive and will cost around $1,700.
