New LaCie 500GB Gold external Hard Drive: is it over the top

We know that LaCie do produce some sexy looking hard drives like the Porsche inspired HDD, now LaCie wants to get your attention once more with a new 500GB Gold external Hard Drive. The hard disk has been by Ora-Ïto who is a French designer.

As we said the gold LaCie hard drive has a storage capacity of 500GB and is compatible with a PC and Mac. The interface is USB 2.0 and features LaCie’s one click back-up software.

The golden LaCie 500GB Hard Drive will be released in October and will cost $189.
