Some may argue that Mischa Barton was the best thing on The O.C. When her character was killed off the show, many fans mourned, many movie critics awaited her transformation onto the big screen. Since she left the show, not a lot has happened, until now. Reports have claimed that Mischa has signed to stay in the psychological thriller Walled In (not to be confused with WALL-E the cute robot animation!)
The film centres on the story of a ‘demolition company rep who supervises the razing of a mysterious building and discovers horrifying secrets and past inhabitants entombed within its walls by a vicious murder’. The film is based on the French novel Les Emmeures by Serge Broselot.
Barton will play the role of the demolition company rep. also starring in the movie will be, Deborah Kara Unger and Cameron Bright. Attached to direct is French helmer Gilles Paquet-Brenner, who will be taking on his first English-language feature with this film.
Barton has definitely filled her schedule up recently. She’s signed for the caper film St Trinian’s and has just finished the drama Finding t.A.T.u. She’s currently at work on the high school comedy Assassination of a High School President, which also stars Bruce Willis.
Walled in is set to start filming on October 22nd in Saskatchewan.
