U.S. officials crossed border of North Korea for nuclear survey

A team of nuclear experts and U.S. officials have now crossed the border of North Korea so that they can conduct a nuclear survey. Other experts from Russia and China will also be joining them at the invitation of Pyongyang. Washington officials have said that this is another step closer to getting rid of the atomic weapons in Korea.

North Korea is fully supportive of this nuclear survey, and has said that they will disable its nuclear weapons program, hopefully by the end of 2007; this had been outlined in a deal that was made with South Korea, China, United States, Russia and Japan in February this year. North Korea has shut down their Yongbyon nuclear complex; this complex had produced bomb-grade plutonium.

For disarmament North Korea will receive 950,000 metric tons of oil, or if any other aid that they might want of the same value.
