TomTom satnav built into Toyota Yaris in-car hi-fi

Many people have not embraced the whole idea if buying a portable Satnav as they feel that one day they will be in all cars, well it seems as if that day is coming soon as the Toyota Yaris is to have the TomTom GPS system built into the in-car hi-fi.

What Toyota plan to do is put the guts of the TomTom into the Yaris and use the cars entertainment system for the screen and speakers, add to that the Bluetooth and it will act as a hands free phone as well. Do not worry about updates as you can get these map and software updates just by downloading them using your PC and also TomTom’s home software. It is not certain how the updates will be transferred over to the TomTom, but it is thought that you could use the Bluetooth for this.
