Ron Paul has earned his right as being the president of the internet with his obvious popularity amongst the web. His thoughts and ideas provoke many to question him, whilst thousands are backing his every word with reason.

The unfortunate American policy of “tax, borrow and print [money]” is pushing this country into a financial ruin, says U.S. presidential candidate Ron Paul.

Paul quite rightly said that the country’s financial issues, that he described as a crisis, is one of the more significant problems that is concerning many accross the country.

“This country is mortgaged. Our government is mortgaged,” Paul said during a meeting with The Gazette’s Editorial Board.

“The wealth is not there. The only thing they can do is print more money. We’ve lost three million manufacturing jobs. They’re overseas and they’re not coming back,”

“More taxes won’t resolve the financial woes, but stopping foreign aid would help”, he said.

I doubt by that comment that he meant that all foreign aid was a bad idea, but I can see the point he’s trying to get across. If US were to stop aiding other countries and perhaps started aiding their own country, the financial mortgage crisis wouldn’t be as critical as it is right now.

“The way to neutralize this is to send money to nobody,” Paul said.

Interestingly, Paul noted that most American foreign aid never gets to the poor people it’s intended to help, which is a valid and somewhat worrying point. But the government can’t just halt loans, can they?

Ron Paul has expressed his views to country about the war President George Bush tangled up in, in Iraq and Afghanistan.

“I would just come home. We made a mistake. We went in there under false pretenses. It’s sad. It was not worth 3,300 American lives and 25,000 casualties. We need to change course. We’re continuing to do the same thing — send more troops. Just back off. You don’t need any money for that.”

An interesting fact is that George W Bush, the current president of America, has borrowed more money than all the past presidents combined. More on this can be read here.

Dr Paul seems like a very intelligent man, but would his views really benefit the whole of the states? Do you agree with Ron Paul’s views? Let us know.

  2. Jesse says:

Dr. Paul is a very wise man. I agree with him about %95 of the time (which is %95 more than I agree with any other presidential hopeful). He has my vote and my $.

I saw Ron Paul for the first time in the first Republican debate and he won me over with his courage to speak the truth. The other candidiates say what people want to hear, Dr. Paul says what they need to hear. His record speaks for itself he is a firm believer in the Constitution and appears much more able to lead the country than the others. After the last debate I went to his website and donated $25.00 after he put Huckabbe in his place. To continue spending American blood and money in Iraq with no exit strategy will destroy this country. Every year the Bush Administration says we need another year, give them a year and they take 5. No more American blood should be spilled in Iraq. Occupation of a foreign country is not written in the constitution. Elect Ron paul so we can get out of this quagmire.

I think that the united states is going down a long dark road and we need this man to steer us back in the right direction.

Sadly, the media seems to have a gag order on reporting of him and appears to downplay his popularity. I am so glad that the internet gives people a venue to get the word out and to find other people (meetup.com) to work with toward taking our nation back.

  5. Ed Johnson says:

I do agree. Why are we borrowing millions? To pay for wars? To pay for our huge Federal government? What are you borrowing, a fiat currency? Is there interest?

The economic situation we’re in cannot be solved with a band-aid. The system in place is inherently destined to fail. We need to downsize the federal government, become more self-reliant and self-sufficient, and end the reckless spending and taxation.. it is strangling the American people.

  6. Bert says:

earnt? Ryan, you need to consult a dictionary.

Dr. Paul means all aid. For the government to take taxes from you under threat of arrest, and give your wages to someone overseas is a kind of legal extortion. Americans have always been generous with their own money. Americans can give directly to anyone in the world they wish, but for the Federal government to do so, is not one of the enumerated powers granted them in the Constitution.

  7. I think we should first focus on rebuilding Iraq and building a nation we can be proud of before we look at our own country.

  8. Scott Perry says:

I also again donated $25 after the last debate,my second donation. These were both my first contributions to political campaigns in 44 years.I also agree with 95% of what he says

  9. Robert Johnson says:

Ron Paul is a great man and wants to give the country back to the individuals. However, for him to win people need to give money to his campaign! People, it’s nice to hear you are a RON PAUL supporter but please put your money on the line. If you believe in him, please donate at least $100 to Ron Paul! If you already donated, that’s great! Please donate again! You can go here https://www.ronpaul2008.com/donate/

If you don’t have any money you can still support him by joining a meetup group and hitting the streets with signs and handing out information about him. Ron Paul can win but he needs our help!!!

  10. Tom says:

Doctor Paul is beggining to get more media attention, which is good for him, but with that also comes the attacks and their bias which work agaist him. Once people get accustomed with Dr. Paul’s ideas and what he means by them, understand where he’s coming from, there’s no stopping Dr. Paul. Don’t give up on him becuse he had a tough time with Bill O’reilley, which he only had a few minutes, by far not enough time to get his point across and that otherwise can leave a “bad” impression. Not to mention Bill never let’s anyone finish their argument.
