The EVGA e-GeForce 8600 GTS (PCI-e, 256MB) graphics card is an affordable graphics card that offers good performance for middle of the road gaming.
The EVGA e-GeForce 8600 GTS graphics card comes with improved HD video imaging and this graphics card is fairly good one card solution to your computer.
However, I would question anyone buying the EVGA e-GeForce 8600 GTS graphics card as for just a little bit more money, you could get a much better graphics card. Don’t forget that the ATI next gen graphics cards are just around the corned in terms of pricing.
Another negative thing about the EVGA e-GeForce 8600 GTS graphics card is that is needs a direct connection to the power supply of your computer.
Overall, the EVGA e-GeForce 8600 GTS graphics card could be okay for you if you do not want to push the gaming limits of your PC and its good for HD movies. However, more dedicated gamers can get a better performance from graphics cards such as the higher end Nvidia’s 8800 graphics cards.
Or just wait for a few weeks to see if any new ATI graphics cards take your fancy.
What do you think of the EVGA e-GeForce 8600 GTS graphics card?
