Shure SE420 Sound Isolating Earphones: Look & Sound Great, Pricey

Shure have achieved a reputation in the electronics industry for providing us all with the highest quality earphones. However, with quality comes effort and with effort comes money. The Shure SE420 earphones offer high-quality sound from a dual-driver design at a the overpriced tag of $399.
On the negative side of its performance, the Shure SE420s are also a bit bass-shy for the price that they’re being sold at, which we thinks deserves some tweaking by the manufacturer. Also, many people have reported the buds are ever so slightly big and weirdly shaped, but we think Shure know what they’re doing.
If you’re looking for a pair of earphones that won’t just do the job, but will actually give you a real music experience to enjoy, then the Shure’s SE420 earphones will serve their purpose. If you can afford to be spending your well-earnt money on such highly priced earphones for what they do, then chances are you can afford to buy the the SE530s, which I’d recommend over the SE420s.
