Craigslist seems to be getting a lot criminal activity: from marijuana sales to prostitution
September 10, 2007 | Filed under News

It seems that every day we look at the news we see that Craigslist is there for one thing or another, and most of the news is about criminal activity. Last week it was reported that 70 arrests were made during the course of a year by Nassau County police over prostitution charges that the Craigslist website has been trading sex for money. Not only that but the website also placed decoy ads in the hope of catching would-be customers.
Somerset County authorities are now looking at Craigslist as a detective in Montgomery Township saw 420 shrubs for sale. The term 420 refers to marijuana, which is thought to be the time that people smoke marijuana at a High School in California in 1971. The undercover detective then went to meet the person selling the drugs, he met with him three times and on that third occasion he was arrested.
Susan MacTavish a Craigslist spokeswoman still maintains that any illegal activity is still banned from the site, but it seems as if users of the site do not care about the ban.

I noticed that it was such a problem that I started a website about it at http://craigscrimelist.org
I apologize if this is considered spamming but I thought it was relevant.
