Artist’s New Form of Movie: pornography for plants with uncensored pollination
By: Daniel Chubb | September 8, 2007 | Leave a Comment
The artist (Jonathon Keats) has called it “pornography for plants featuring uncensored pollination”, he has began to enjoy the impact of entertainment on non-human audiences and as plants are sensitive to light this is just what cinema with a projector is.
The film projects on their leaves so they could absorb it and Keats knows enough about plants reproduction process to make a guess that pollination is what might titillate them.
The six-minute long black-and-white video of plants getting pollinated was projected onto 60 house plants in rows at the 1078 Gallery in September, if you find this very interesting then you may be glad to here that the gallery will be open to people to go and watch soon.
