Two earthquakes hit Taiwan no casualties but communications disrupted

Two earthquakes have hit Taiwan the first measured 6.5 and the second had a magnitude of 5.7, the good news is that there are no reports of any casualties. However communications have been disrupted as an undersea cable which goes to Japan was damaged, which is now being repaired.

The first quake happened at 01:51 a.m. local time with the epicenter being 76 km from Taiwan and 27 km deep, the second happened four minutes after and was 10 km further. A spokeswoman for Chunghwa Telecom the top telecommunications carrier in Taiwan has said “All communications are more or less back to normal.”

The best news as said before is that there are no casualties in these earthquake.
