Microsoft and Siemens VDO to co-develop in-car entertainment and navigation systems
It seems as though Microsoft and Siemens VDO have made a deal with each other to co-develop a new line of navigation products and in-car entertainment systems. Both these two huge companies will first work on a multi-media platform, which they hope will be able to integrate mobile phones and music players more easily into the entertainment systems that come in our automobiles.

It is hope that these first products that are based on the Microsoft Auto Platform will be available by 2009. Let us hope that they build these systems far better than they have managed with their Xbox.
