Ricky Tomlinson To Have Heart Surgery

Ricky Tomlinson is due to undergo surgery to unblock his arteries in his heart this week.

Ricky is due to have an angioplasty operation at Broadgreen Hospital in Liverpool this Friday because doctors have told him he would be at high risk of heart problems without the surgery.

Ricky said that “Checking your heart health is so vitally important, I know lots of men, me included, aren’t keen on getting checked out but a simple heart check takes a few minutes and really could detect early signs of heart disease and I’m keen to get a million men having their hearts checked out so they shouldn’t have to go through what I’ve got to go through with the surgery.”
