Canon PowerShot SD1000 Camera Review: Looks Great, Performs Well

Having played about with this real eye-catching device, I can’t help but wonder how innovative and simple the design is. The clean, smooth edges really do make a difference in making this Canon one to remember.
Sizewise, it can fit in even the tightest of jeans pockets and is surprisingly quick to take pictures, similar to the Sony Cybershot in that respect. Having said this, the picture quality without it’s flash is surprisingly poor, which isn’t too significant.
Be sure to buy a memory card large enough for all those memories as the video will eat away those megabytes like there’s no tomorrow. Sound quality on the video mode really is great.
This camera really is recommended and overall, I’d give it full marks for presentation, but four out of five on features. At 7.1 megapixels, most photos are great, but I can’t help feeling cheated when I don’t want the flash to be on.
