Plasma vs LCD
Having a plasma HDTV in the living room and LCD TV’s in other rooms and bedrooms, today I got to thinking “what are selling the most?”

Which of the two main formats (Plasma and LCD) sell the most? For me plasma is my favourite choice on a large screen (42 inches plus) and with anything 32 inches and under I buy an LCD.

Prices are dropping fast on smaller LCD displays and if things keep going the way they are with technology advancements I can see LCD’s winning the battle and becoming the major format.

What I would like to know from you is:
Have you brought an LCD or Plasma Television?
Which format did you buy and what size TV did you get?

It will be interesting to see which sizes are being brought the most in Plasma’s and LCDs by our readers.

So with my opinion that LCD will win in time, do you agree?

Plasma seems like a better tv because if something penetrates the TV the plasma can still be viewed except for where it was fractured. When an LCD gets penetrated you basically need to throw out the TV. I bought a sony xbr and the back panel needed to be replaced and the cost was $2600, what a crock. The Best Buy salesman showed me the break room tv where there was a speck that was penetrated and it was very watchable. My LCD was not even physically damaged on the outside but due to the extreme sensitivity of the unit it is not worth the risk. I am buying a plasma for security of knowing that I will not be out another 2800 if a mishap occurs with my WII game. Bottom line LCDS are risky I learned the hard and expensive way.
