Finally Someone Else Defends The Great NFL QB Michael Vick

After all the trouble surrounding Michael Vick and him pleading guilty to dogfighting charges, someone apart from me as come to his defense.
I mean, I’m not exactly the biggest fan of “The View” but at least its latest moderator Ms Goldberg has shown some sympathy to Michael Vick.
She said dogfighting was “part of his cultural upbringing” and although I don’t think that this is an excuse for what Michael Vick did, it is good to see someone apart from me coming to the defense of the great NFL QB Michael Vick.
I think America has WAY overreacted to the whole Michael Vick saga. Michael Vick is still a great QB and while I was searching on YouTube to find a video of Michael Vick for this post, (see bottom of this page for a great video of Vick in action) I was annoyed to see that every animal lover on earth had taken the time to flood YouTube with videos of cute puppies and Michael Vick saying things along the lines of “how could someone do this to these dogs?”
Firstly, the cute cuddly puppies shown in these videos ARE NOT the dogs used in dog fighting. Pit bulls and specialised fi
ghting dogs are used as the cute puppies wouldn’t last 2 seconds in a dog fight. Putting a cute puppy in a dog fight with a pit bull is like putting Hilary Clinton in the boxing ring with a young Mike Tyson in his prime – there is no way you are going to win.
So why do these “animal lovers” use cute puppies in their videos?
BECAUSE NOBODY CARES ABOUT PIT BULLS!!!
Pit bulls are not cute or cuddly, they are mad savage terrors and if I had my way they would all be exterminated tomorrow. Before I do this however, I would throw a few of these YouTube animal lovers in a cage with some of Vick’s prize pit bulls, and let the pit bulls rip them to shreads…. them have a cuddle.
But seriously, what is the big deal with dogs?
Whatever happened to people loving?
If Michael Vick had cracked a few heads in an Atlanta night club, there would be no big deal.
WHY IS THIS SUCH A BIG DEAL?
Come on all you so called animal lovers…Why do you care about ugly pit bulls?

You are complete moron. Pit bulls are also known as nanny dogs because of their lotyalty and kindness towards children. Any breed can be mean if cruel people like Vick train them that way. Not to mention the poor bait dogs that are used to force them to be killers. You are just as ignorant and evil as the sadist Vick.
My thought is that when you write an article you make sure you have your facts straight. That way it may have bit of credibility. I like nothing less then reading uneducated material.
America has not over reacted to the the sub human and barbaric acts of Michael Vick. 6 years of dog torture and hanging, electrocuting, drowning of dogs is indefensable. Michael did not snap, have a momentary lapse of judgement. His sick behavior a planned and carried out for 6 years. 1 of the 3 signs of a psycopath is animal torture.
If you did your home work on pit bulls, you would see that in the 1920s they were the most popular family pet. Helen Keller’s guild dog was a pit bull. The Little Rascles dog…a pit bull, RCA dog…pit bull, the dog in the shoe with Buster Brown…pit bull. The poster dog for WWI and WWII….pit bull. Several USA presidents and celebrities have own/owned pit bulls. Pit bull were once referred as “nurses maids”, because of how good they are with children.
Today, pit bulls are the most abused and negleted dog breed in the country. As well as the dog that is stolen the most. They have a loving and long rich history that has been distroyed by gangs, drugs and crime. That is where the real anger should be, not at the dogs.
These little puppies that you write from the youtube videos. They to are a part of “dog fighting”! Only they are thrown into the pit with pit bulls to be killed. Those little puppies, would have their mouths duck tapped shut so they wouldn’t even have a chance defend themselves. “free to a good home” or “lost dog”….these type of dogs end up as bait for dog fighting pit bulls all the time.
People do care about pit bulls…and yes they cuddle, snuggle and will treat you like a god! If treated how any other dog is treated. You can take a poodle, starve it, beat it, feed it gun powder, tie it to a tree and let other dogs attack it (the way pit bulls are treated) and you are going to have one nasty poodle.
2006, Golden Retrievers accounted for the most bite to a human. If did you history on American Temperment Exam, you would see that pit bulls score very well.
Gangs, drugs, crime is all apart of the dog fighting world. It effects everyone in our society, so yes people are reacting!

some pitbull fighting kennels use the cute little dogs for fight training. For a young pit bull they are easy first kills. And…people make the pitbulls ugly; through selective breeding for agression and fight training.
Sure, it’s a ‘cultural thing’ is nice cop out for someone living in the sticks but come on he was in the NFL. He had exposure to morals.
I think that people who are not from the south do not understand how people live. This is part of the life style. Though that does not make it right, I do not think someone should loose their job and livelyhood over it. I mean, my sister owns a cock fighting business in Louisiana. It has just been shut down and people will just do it in back yards and they will be shot because noone will have controll of the situation.
I guess you must think Michael Vick is cute and cuddly since you are one of his great supporters. And well probably you would justify his throwing dogs on the hard cement because after all he was just practicing his throw. It’s always interesting how certain people like to shift the responsibility to culture, a bad dad, the projects, held at gunpoint by thugs, didn’t read the handbook, thought it was a sport, the devil came in and backed him to the wall with a pitchfork etc..If you continue to go through life always shifting the responsibility to something other than yourself then I wish you lots of luck with maturity. Some 5 year olds are more mature.
