Breaking News: Steve Fossett Missing, the aviation adventurer

There is some breaking news that Steve Fossett is missing, the record-breaking 63-year-old aviation adventurer was last seen Monday when he took off in a single-engine aircraft (Citabria Super Decathlon) from a private Nevada airstrip.

Steve Fossett had apparently not filed any flight plan for his Monday departure (according to the FAA).

Currently there are said to be three crews in the air above rural western Nevada, they are looking for Fossett’s blue and white aircraft.

The search for Steve Fossett is being coordinated by the Air Force’s Rescue Coordination Center in Langley, Va.
