Anniversary Of Crocodile Hunter Steve Irwin
Today marks the one year anniversary of the accidental death of Crocodile Hunter Steve Irwin.

Family, friends and fans of Crocodile Hunter Steve Irwin are marking the first anniversary of his death.

Steve died when his heart was pierced by a stingray’s barb while snorkelling off the Great Barrier Reef last September.

But one year on, Steve’s widow, Terri, said she was hoping for a low-key day and some privacy. Mrs Irwin has said she is planning to spend the day with her children Bindi, nine, and Bob, three.

Mrs Irwin recently announced that she had nominated November 15 as a commemorative day in honour of her late husband and that she wants everyone to wear Irwin’s trademark khaki shirts on that day as a mark of respect.

The date was also chosen to mark the birthday of Irwin’s favourite giant Galapagos tortoise, Harriet, who died earlier this year aged 176.

Our thoughts are with the family at this time
